Artist's Description

I am always looking at all that is around me. Wheather it is above or at eye level and yes below eye level. Here is a piece of window glass with a white mat up against. Here the elements of the glass, the mat, the stucco wall the light and the reflection from accross the street come together to make this simple abstraction.

Biography Born in and raised in New Orleans, Ann (as she likes to be called) has been taking photographs since she was a young child. Her earliest memories were of taking photos of a family event with one of her aunt's cameras. Only four at the time, she showed early on that she had a natural ability for the craft. Self-taught, Ann's earliest inspirations came from the works of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. She was fascinated how they used light and shadow in their work.
